The annual celebration of wildflower splendour, the Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival presented by WCP Civil, is back this year with a jam-packed program! Spring in the Great Southern is set to come alive for one month, with an impressive lineup of 59 exciting events, showcasing the very best of the region’s flora, culture, art, and culinary delights.
From 21 September – 20 October, residents and visitors alike can immerse themselves in a kaleidoscope of experiences that encompass everything from breathtaking wildflower displays, art exhibitions, wildflower and orchid tours, craft workshops, to family fun days, live music, a gala ball, and open gardens. The Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival has something for everyone.
For those seeking to learn more about the rich indigenous culture of the Great Southern, the festival offers Noongar art, craft, and bush cooking. These vibrant and authentic markets provide a unique opportunity to connect with the local Noongar community and experience their traditions and mouthwatering culinary delights.
For the creatively inclined, there are wildflower workshops, allowing the memory of Spring to last all year round. And of course, no festival would be complete without a celebration of food and wine. Visitors can indulge in the Great Southern’s wonders with farmers markets featuring fresh local produce, and amazing food and wine experiences that will tantalize the taste buds.
