About Us
Who We Are
Australia’s South West represents the interests of the destination and the attractions, businesses, product and more, found within it. That includes 1000km of coastlines, 24 national parks and an array of experiences and attractions including wineries, breweries, restaurants and a variety of tourism products.
Australia’s South West is the peak tourism body representing the South West region of Western Australia. The region stretches from Bunbury Geographe to the Great Southern, including the regions of Margaret River and Southern Forests and Valleys.
Working collaboratively with Tourism WA, regional partners, and our network of passionate tourism operators, our role in destination management is to drive the growth of the visitor economy through innovative marketing strategies, sustainable destination development initiatives, and proactive industry engagement.
Our vision is for Australia’s South West to be a leading, prosperous and sustainable tourism destination.
We aim to provide the consumer with information on how to spend more and stay longer while in the region – to ultimately deliver increased visitor numbers and expenditure for our members, the regional tourism businesses.
Australia’s South West is a Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO). Western Australia has five membership-based regional tourism organisations (RTOs), which together represent regional tourism businesses. The RTO network is widely regarded as one of the most influential in Australia and will work with government to facilitate investment in new tourism product.
