Conditions of Membership 2024 – 25

CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP 2024 - 25

  • Any organisation, business, local authority or person whose aim and activities include the development, servicing or promotion of tourism in the region may become a member of Australia’s South West Inc.

 

  • In accordance with the ASW constitution, the Board has the absolute power to approve or reject membership applications and if the Board considers that a Member should be suspended or expelled from the membership of ASW because they have not met the requirements of Member Code of Ethics and Business Practice, this will be communicated in writing.

 

  • The member warrants that the information supplied to ASW is true and correct and that the publication of such information will not contravene any provisions of the Australian Consumer Law Cth 1 Jan 2011 or the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 WA.

 

  • In the event that any claim is made under the Australian Consumer Law Cth 1 Jan 2011 or the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 WA against Australia’s South West Inc in relation to the publication of the information, the member fully indemnifies Australia’s South West Inc for any liability arising from its involvement, either direct or indirect, in that publication.

 

  • It is a responsibility of the member to advise Australia’s South West of any changes in property ownership, contact details and changes to bank account details which occur during the membership year.

 

  • It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that the details and rates listed on www.australiassouthwest.com are correct and are kept up to date.

 

  • Australia’s South West may disclose information about your business to related companies in the course of Association activities as outlined in our Corporate Privacy Statement [link]

 

  • Through payment of membership fees all members of Australia’s South West must comply with the Australia’s South West Inc. Constitution and all Commonwealth, State and municipal authority laws which effect the conduct and supply of services of this business, and indemnify ASW against all actions, proceedings, claims, liabilities and costs in respect of any breach of these laws. Your business must possess and keep current a Public Liability Insurance Policy providing a minimum cover for any one event of $5,000,000.

 

  • Any outstanding debtor whose account is overdue by 3 months or more will automatically lose their membership benefits until the debt has been settled.

 

  • Membership can be cancelled if one month’s written notice is given and will not be entitled to a refund or part refund of any annual fee or other fee already paid and will remain liable for, and must pay all fees and any other amounts which were due at the date of ceasing to be a Member.

 

  • All benefits offered are non-transferable and not refundable for cash.

 

  • Please allow 28 days for membership processing.

 

  • All activities are subject to change by Australia’s South West Inc.

 

  • All prices quoted as at 1 July 2024 and include GST.
