Member Mentoring Package
This program provides guidance and hands-on assistance for tourism businesses to improve business sustainability, maximise regional recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for borders to open. We will deliver one-one-one mentoring support across key focus areas including Social Media, Marketing, Business Development, Trade/Market Readiness and Website/Digital.
How will the program work?
Briefing Session: First up you’ll meet with a team member from Australia’s South West to help us determine your eligibility and discuss the program in more detail. This will also give us a chance to understand the challenges your business is facing and identify your goals for mentoring.
Fee Payment: Once accepted, you’ll be asked to pay the program fees. It’s $200 for Australia’s South West members and $395 for non-members (which includes an ASW Essential Membership).
Your Mentoring Package: ASW will then customise a mentoring package for you, which will include assigning one or more of our focus area mentors. Each of our mentors have been selected because they are experts in their discipline, but also have extensive experience within the tourism industry.
Mentoring Sessions: Your allocated mentor/s will be in touch to set up a schedule of sessions and (depending on your availability and preference) this will include at least one face-to-face onsite session at your place of business followed by several virtual sessions. You will need to commit somewhere between 10 and 20 hours to participate in the program, but there is no expectation that you have to complete work outside of the sessions. However, keep in mind that if you’re willing to take on additional tasks between sessions, your mentor will be able to cover more ground and you can get even more value from the program.
Survey: At the end of mentoring you’ll be sent a short survey about your experience and outcomes.
